João Grilo shines in Estonia and achieves an honorable 5th place in the first Eurotour of 2024

João Grilo, born in Fernão Ferro (Seixal), started the Euro Tours season with an honorable 5th place in the Tallinn Open in Estonia, where 161 athletes from various countries were present .

After the first day of competition, João Grilo secured access to the winners' round 2 with a 9-4 victory against AKDAG Ramazan Akdag from Turkey, on the 2nd day of competition he did not do less and sealed access to qualifying for the final draw with a victory over Mark MÄGI from Estonia by 9-4.

In the final round, João Grilo defeated one of the best players in Poland, Mateusz Sniegocki in black by 9-8.

In the final frame, the draw dictated Labinot Markaj from Kozovo as João Grilo's opponent.

Confident and with maximum concentration, João Grilo advances to the round of 16 with a 9-8 victory over Markaj.

In the round of 16, João Grilo defeated Lithuanian Pijus Labutis and sealed his place in the quarter-finals with an incredible 9-7 victory.

João Grilo fell in the quarter-finals, against the young German Felix Vogel by (8-9), thus reaching an honorable 5th place in the first Euro Tour of the 2024 season.
